In 1898 founders Emily Stewart and Julia Patterson Carnell established a private charity called Flower & Fruit Mission.  It's initial mission was to provide fresh flowers and fruit to shut-ins and hospital patients.

Our support services expanded in 1903 to include the first nurse hired to visit the sick/poor.

Today VNA offers a full range of in-home care services to patients and their families throughout the Montgomery County and surrounding areas.
